My Palio 1.2 EL 2001 Model has done just over 60000 kms. The Clutch has become quite hard over the years. While it functions well otherwise, except there is a slight judder once in a while on moving from standstill. What do I need to do, go in for a clutch overhaul or any other checks need to be done. Appreciate advise on the issue.

Welcome here.
( a lot of new Palio owners lately joining in...!!)

It probably has a cable operated clutch, like the 1,6-16V, right?
First thing: lube the cable with Teflon lube/oil, and grease the pedal link as well with Teflon grease.
Put some Teflon oil on the top of the clutch link at the end of the cable, on top of the housing as well.

(Later versions had a hydraulic operated clutch, change the fluid every two years as a rule..)

Well my car has an hydraulic clutch. I remember changing the fluid around 3 years back when clutch had failed due to a leak. So do you think the system needs an overhaul.
