Hi all
I am struggling with a lady friend's Sienna (Palio). It wouldn't start at all. I recoded the key with the red key. After a full service, injectors clean and throttle body clean, I have (at least I think I have) isolated the problem to be the Idle control valve. When cold it will start, idle for 30 seconds or so and then die. When I loosen the unit and manually operate the airflow it runs for longer.

Where can I obtain a replacement unit. The stealers want to rid me of R3000 for a new one and no one else seem to have these. I am based in Cape Town. The unit is a Magnet Marelli B38/01 if memory serves me.

Is there an alternative that one can use?

What year is the car?
Does it have a removable IAC?
If so, there are inexpensive alternatives for the Marelli IAC.
