Hi guys. I drive a 2006 Fiat strada 1.7 el. my timing recently got mixed up (story for another day). the pistons did hit the valves but the engine wasn't running, it was just turned with the starter. now there are a weird sound but the motor is running very smooth and starts one shot, cold or warm conditions, if I turn the motor with the hand it still gives me 6 bar of compression, is that possible with a bent valve? or would it just be a cam follower that got messed. how can I see this without taking off the head?
please guys, any help will be appreciated.

Welcome here!
Sound/noise is almost impossible to judge from a distance, I'm afraid.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the valves etc.
Maybe you're hearing the new belt, or belt pulley's?
I suggest: take the car to a specialist, and let him hear/decide what the sound is..!!
Good luck!

Thanks, but the vehicle has less power, and I don't think I want to take it to a mechanic, its because of a mechanic that it is standing on crutches. I think I should take off the head and do a proper job. will upload some images soon as I can. thanks for the reply
