I have a South African made 2002 Palio 1600 16V.
Sometimes it will not start. My wife drives it most of the time and the non starts are really becoming a problem. The starter does not turn at all. It is easy enough to run start, but that is not the option.
It happens mostly when the car is hot (after driving). When trying to start the car, after the immobiliser was deactivated, the starter will not turn, the central locking goes up and down. We thought it might be connected, in some or other way, with the engine fan and someone also suggested the thermostat??
Anyone who can help with some advise, it obviously is a electrical problem. I am no mechanic but can just about help myself.
