I have a 1.6 16v palio wich is a petrol engine but when I switch my ignition on there is a warning light wich looks like a warning light for a glowplug an after a while it goes of again but my car won't start what light is this?

if it is just below the Fuel needle - red in color - it is the Injector Light - it turns on when your turn the key to ON and goes off in a few seconds.

Car not starting could be because of a different reason - i guess (from the other thread) it back fires - with ignition off - press the spark plugs to make sure connections are ok.

try to start the car. see if that works.

there could be an overflow of petrol - slightly press the gas pedal and see if it starts - release the gas pedal immediately once the car starts.
