Hi there,
I own a Palio MJD in India

75 PS @ 4000rpm
184 NM @ 2000

Now we have Linea with same engine, turbo tweaked to give

86PS @ 4000 rpm
203NM @ 2500 rpm.

Has anyone tried tweaking their car. I understand a certain petes box is around, but wanted to get first hand experience.:D

Tyre:
Which is the best alloy + tyre set for Palio MJD. How does Pirelli rate?

Speakers:

I have always procrastinated installing audio as i didn't want to spoil the good looking tray and have wires hanging down from tray, spoiling my boot space.
Any suggestion which is the best set of speakers to fix in the provided slot.

Cheers (y)
Kiran

Installing a Turbo (after market) is not advisable evn on Hondas / toyotas with their extremely good service network.
Installing a Turbo on Fiat MJ could lead into much troible.
suggest you stay clear.

Yes Pete's box is a very good option but am not sure it is available for Palios. Though i have seen pete's box on swifts. They are supposed to give 30+ BHP's.

My S10 runs on Michelline XM1 Energy, they provide excellent driving comfort, but they compromise a bit on the handling.

Regarding alloys palios have a odd 98 PDC alloys, which unfortunately are not easily available in Indian market.
Most would try to paste 100 PCD alloys with "wobble nuts" or spaces , but they are not at all safe. After 4-5 k Kms running they are more likely to wobble.
Best bet would be scan some tryre shops near by, there are lot of rich fids who trade in their Linea/Punto Alloys + stock tyres for more fancy aftermarket stuff. :p
