I have problem with my fuel pump, I have done 44000 km's. Issue is my car will not start some time. I have show this problem to solar fiat and they informed it is the problem with fuel pump and need to get it serviced from Mumbai and will cost 20,000. Service person informed that I can use the car with the same problem up to 1 year. I just need to switch off and switch on the key multiple times to start the car, once started there is no issue. Will it cause any issue if I use the car in this way. Please suggest........:slayer::slayer:

Is your car is a diesel or petrol. Buy your complain i hope it would be a 1.9D. In this case i advice you, not to repair the pump better replace it with a new one, since the new one is about 33k..... Repairing may result in some other complain....... Driving your car with this complain is also not advisable since it wount be like this for ever.....

Am not sure how many of palio owners will like this but I managed to fix the pump my self , my fuel pump got burned as I run my car on LPG , the electrician forgot to connect the wire for disabling the fuel pump this made the pump run forever and it burned and melted the plastic ,

I clean up the burned area and got my self a high pressure fuel pump for opel corsa for RS 700 and installed it my self, I think will need another pump since palio needs 50 psi or pressure, so am planning to add another fuel pump and use both pumps pressure and direct it into the line, it defiantly going to work,
I am Hyderabad and one of my friends who runs motor parts shop has a genuine fiat palio fuel pump motor for RS 1500 /- am using opel corse fuel pump for Rs700 , there are second hand assemblies for RS 4700 and 4200 and lot of prices ,

Lets see how this works, if it works then it’s a cheap fix for a fuel pump problem for petrol palio,
