strting problem

Hi all
My Palio 1.2 petrol occasionally gives a problem on trying to start. I am not hear the fuel pump prime sound. Turning the ignition off and on again usually (but not always!) overcomes the problem within a few attempts. But some time it not starts at all. One day I myself try to check the fuel pump which is located on underneath at back seat and I just touch the connection of fuel pump and Surprise car started in just 1st Crank and prime of pump also hear.
One more problem some time on dash board panel show injector indication in red and gone after some time.
I go to service center for both problem but they are not able to fix it.
Please tell me what should I do?

Before you do anything else check the earth strap from battery to engine. They can fail & still look OK.
Give it a good tug or run a jump lead from battery to engine block. Check polarity but usually it's negative earth.

I am check with multimeter its show continuity with battery negivtive to engine block, now what should I do, problem emaine same. Guide me.

Have you find a solution for your problem as the same thing happened to me and I'm still stuck with no positive results, I have also checked the connection at the petrol pump itself and the earth wire but it's still not working. my feul injection light on the dashbord also goes on for just a few seconds then goes out. but no petrol is coming through.

I strongly recommend you to check(or change) your ignition coils. Is your Palio a MK1, if it is we have the same car. There should be two ignition coils.

I have the same issue with my palio 1.9D, it doesn't start some times, I need to switch off the key and on for 4 to 5 times.

I had a similar problem in may Palio 2001 1.0 16V Fire uses gasoline, when the engine was hot some times the didn´t start, i turn the key and nothing hapened.
I tried many solutions, change the Start engine, change batery, but what solved the problem was change all the cables that comes from batery to Start engine (eletric), when this cables was hot, the power just didn´t go to engine and didn´t start.
