My engine management light came on this morning. Took car to local garage who plugged it into a diagnostics machine. Came back with error code 14H/321 (an undocumented error). Does anyone have any idea what this code means. Thanks

Hi,

It's a grande punto (2007). They used a snap on reader plugged into the right hand side of the steering wheel. All I've read on google is saying that they are codes that can only be read by Fiat.

Thanks Ross

Hi Ross, :)

have a look in the GP section ,

there are Engine codes,
then CANBUS - vehicle wiring codes

we've got kit that can read all of that..;)

what exactly were you trying to get sorted..??

a common one , is after a poorly executed cambelt change,

The engine management light came on randomly this morning. The car was serviced a few weeks ago and they broke an injector. I don't know whether that would have any effect?

Was hoping that the error code would be a simple one (such as an o2 sensor). But now the light is on and local garage can't tell me what the code means.

It's petrol. South Wales. I have had the car read again today by a different garage - same error code. They turned the light off, it stayed off. The car was switched off and back on - no light. Then later today when the car was started, the light was back.

I live in Abertillery. It would be great if you could read it if you are in the area. We are stuck at the moment so have run out of options aside from a main dealer.

Thank you

Hi,

there is a potential issue with the vehicles wiring / connections,

( hence the error / warning light?)

I regularly travel over your way ( abertillery / pontypool), so I could bring my MES over if required, should have as good a chance as any..,

Hi Charlie,

I ordered the lead off eBay and bought the multiecuscan for my laptop. Plugged it in and was given a P code straight away. Points towards the oxygen sensor!

Thanks for your help

Ross
