That's the plan. I have to balance it with work on my 500F that has just had new panels welded on the front.

I may even get the 850 registered without a paint job - just get the mechanicals sorted and then do a rolling resto.

All good fun.

Only has a hand brake at the moment.

I found a headlight rim in a box of Fiat 500 parts while looking for something else.

great job keep it up, I like those vintage little Fiats, are you going to rebuild/overhaul the original engine or will get a new fitting engine ?

The engine is a rebuilt 903 that I got earlier this year. The engine that was in this car was not original.

I have been making progress with my 500 bambino so the 850 is resting at the moment but I have collected a few parts like brake cylinders etc when I had the opportunity.

Wiped the dust off the other day. I have been working on my 500F and pushed the 850 out of the garage so I could paint the 500.

Five and a half years go by and in the meantime the engine seized with varnish from bad old petrol.

About 2 years ago I pulled it all apart, cleaned it up and gave it some new rings.

Since then I have removed the rusted out fuel tank and found a replacement through a fellow Fiat club member, which was lucky.

I picked up another Austin seven recently so the 850 moved to our carport which gives me better access to do some work on it….
