Re: Fiat Duna

@JonnyBoy: Yeah, but the Duna is based on the Brasilian version of the Uno (such as the Fiorino does) and is still being produced in Argentina (currently Mk2 facelifted).

@Stuart DemonD: A long story... I was searching Cardomain's top100. I saw a black Punto, clicked to view the page and found a link to your page in the guy's favs.

Re: Fiat Duna

Yeah, that's cuz 1stly a right-wheel version was never produced and 2ndly cuz there was no need in importing them in UK, as the Regatta could do the job the Duna did. The Duna was a cheaper car which was sold in "poor" countries. I believe it was better than the Regatta, although in Greece we dind't have the chance to buy it with a bigger engine like the ones the Regatta had, but only with the 1116cm 58hp.

There's an Uno Mk3? Any chance you could post a pic of one?

Re: Fiat Duna

Hey, long time no post here.

Just thought to say Hello to every1 and ask a few questions.

I'm planning to wash my car tomorrow and I want to have it deeply cleaned inside. Can somebody tell me what kind of soap/ brush should I use so as to wash the carpets/doors/roof/plastics? The car has never been washed again inside and I think it's high time sby did that.

Also, I'm trying to find a set of alloy wheels (5.5J x 13) which came as standard equipment on the Uno Formula 1.1 ltr. I don't know whether that model arrived in UK, but just to give you a hint, the wheels look like the mk2 Uno Turbo ones. The distributor of Fiat in Greece said that he cannot find this set cuz it's not been manufactured any longer. I also can't find it in scrapyards either and I'm very disappointed by that.

Oh, and sth else: I would like to change my instrument panel font with a white one, but noone here in Greece has white instruments for the Duna (can't blame them though, the car was never a best seller). I was wondering if anyone has the time and the knowledge to make one for me. How will he do that? Well, I have the original photo of my panel which is this . I also have a draw which is slightly different from my panel, which is this and finally, the only thing I've managed to do so far is that . So, any1 willing to finish it for me? Thanks in advance for that!

So, that's all for now mates. Thanks 4 your time reading my post!

Cheers!

Thanks, I'm trying my best to keep it alive and kicking.

To clean the inside of the car, I went to a friend who was working in Opel, and he was washing cars there. We used a special cleaning foam (strawberry flavoun, yum yum ) which we sprayed the doors and the roof, then we used a vacuum cleaner to remove most of this liquid (along with the dirt), then a soft brush for the remainings and finally we let the car in the sun so that the inside would dry quick. As for the shining effect, we used a spray (lemon flavour) which has sth in it (imagine it as the "Nivea" we are using for our hands) and apart from shining, it prevents the plastics from cracking etc.

For the outside, a car shampoo, which again is used in the Opel distributor, and a soft sponge is always used. What's more, the bumpers and the front grille are specially treated with a silicone spray cuz they're old and they look as good as new.

I will not be posting here for a couple of weeks, as we celebrate the Easter these days (Christian Orthodox). I would like sby to photoshop my car with the set of wheels that were used in the mk1 Uno Turbo. Apart from the other aluminium wheels I am trying to find, I think that the Uno wheels would look nice on the Duna.

Well, see yall in 2 weeks! I'm waiting for the photoshopped pic when I come back!
