Re: Fiat Duna

Hey, time to bring the almost-1-year-old thread to the front.

I was searching for the rear left light for my Duna few weeks ago but with no luck, as all the scrapeyards don't seem to have any more regular lights left. I found only the smoked one but I didn't want to buy it because having a smoked and a normal taillight would be . Oh, and the guy was asking 30 euros for it (bloody thieves)!

Anyway, a good friend of mine was traveling to Brazil, the country that produced Dunas and promised to find me some things for my car. Yesterday he called me saying that he found brand new taillights (unfortunately not the smoked ones but who cares after all!) that costed 15 euros per piece! Besides the normal lights, he found the new-style ones and told me that he would buy them also! He also bought some other bits for my car (don't know what exactly but they're gonna be good - I'm feeling it!). He told me that he will have them shipped within next month. Pic of the new style light follows:

The new-style one looks like that of the Tempra, don't you think? It comes complete with the little plastic thing that covers the gap between the light and the bumper and can be painted according to the car colour:

So, having a brand new set of lights and with the car being in pefect mechanical condition, I'm thinking of giving it a respray in the summer, and sorting out some things such as the bumped bumpers it has. The car is in very good looking condition inside and outside so with little work I can make it look as good as new.

There are some things I'm still looking for: the front grille, the lights and the indicators for the facelifted Fiorino (FIAT quoted me about 500 euros so I don't think I'll be getting them new), so the car will look like this:

and some wheels for it, maybe the ones that the Sei Sporting has:

but the ones I really want are these:

[img=http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/8568/unoformula0bz.th.jpg]

and a photoshopped image of a Duna with these alloys comes right on:

[img=http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/1398/duna1xxcopy6hd.th.jpg]

What do you think?

Or, if I could find the ones the Uno Turbo mk1 had:

Comments anyone?

Re: Fiat Duna

Buonasera people!

I want to change the front of my car from this:

to this:

(pics from Fiorino but it's the same front-end)

Is this possible to be done without no modifications to any other things (just, grille, headlights and signal lights)?

I found some pics which puzzled me:

('92 Fiorino)

('93 Fiorino)

If it isn't possible for a direct change of grille+lights to be done, how easy is to change this piece shown at the pics above? Is it worth it?

Re: Fiat Duna

Guess I'm the only one posting in this thread but... oh well.

Got my new lights! My friend had bought me the old style ones (just like the ones I have now) only but I like the fact that they're bright (of course they are, they're NEW). So, newsflash is that I'll keep the "orange" look all around (amber side repeaters [brand new pair from FIAT, gonna get them tommorow]), amber front indicators and the classic back lights. Another thing I want to do is to change my left headlight as it looks like it's got mist inside. I can't figure how this has happened but the good news is that I can still see the road very good when it's on. i don't know if this is an original FIAT ricambio (Elma) but I've seen lots of Elmas for sale (the other one is a Cibie - ricambio originale).

And I've got a question: how do I remove the front grille? Remember, the Duna has a mk1 Uno front-end. Do I have to unscrew some screws or does it have clips to hold it?

Come on people, I want to see some posts here! It's a variation of an Uno after all!
