| Can Anyone Identify This Fiat Cheers! This my first post so please bare with me if my nomenclatrue or format is improper. Attached are photos of a 1959??? Fiat owned by my father for the last 41 years. We know very little about it, here is what I do know: 1) Everything is in Italian, 2) It is Left Hand Drive (LHD), 3) It has a fiberglass trunk lid (OEM), 4) It is a 4 cyl with column shift 4speed, 5) It was originally powder blue color. My father purchased it here in Houston Texas from a gentleman who claimed it was brought over to the USA by Eddie Fisher and presented to his then wife Debbie Reynolds...THIS IS NOT SUBSTANCIATED!!!! My father had to rebuild the clutch when he first bought it and even at that time the local Fiat dealerships didn't know much about it. Dad wants to start restoration (2nd one) but I was hoping to find out a little bit more about it before we start sinking money into it. Does anyone out there recognize it or know where I might find info. To date, I have not found any photos using Google Images that match this vehicle. "Berlina" is on the book in the glove box but there are no photos or illustrations of this two door, only a 4 door model that doesn't bare any resembalance. Info on tag from firewall shows C__assis: 103G.103116*420110*. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

| Re: Can Anyone Identify This Fiat I did a search on Fiat 103G and came up with the 1100, but none of them looked like this one.Is there an emblem from an outside bodybuilder like Touring, Pininfarina, or some name other than Fiat anywhere on the car? Can you figure out the engine size from your manual? It will be in cubic centimeters, usually written as cm3. Something else to try is to send the photos of the car and its chassis number to the main Fiat website in Italy. I bet they could figure it out. Good luck, and when you find the answer, please tell the rest of us. You might also want to do a search on the two celebs that you mentioned, perhaps adding the word Fiat behind their names.

| Re: Can Anyone Identify This Fiat OK, I was able to get a larger photo and there is a Pininfarina badge on the side of the car. Maybe a detailed history of the coachbuilder would unravel the mystrey.

| Re: Can Anyone Identify This Fiat Thanks for your help. My father just told me that he has a badge he removed that says 1200. Sounds like there might be some progress. I will go to the link where there is a listing for one in Sweden. I just spent about 20 min doing a long response to both of you but it logged me out before I got it posted and now I've run out of time so I just want to say thanks and I will continue to persue this endeavor as best time allows. Cheers, ltfecho

| Re: Can Anyone Identify This Fiat Been on the Pinnfarina site and found this: 1960 saw the relationship become even stronger and marked the start of a particularly fecund period of work together. In that period the 1200, 1500 and 1600 Cabriolet and Coupé made their debut: Pininfarina manufactured over 20,000 units of these models up to 1966. The 1500 Coupé was actually marketed directly by Pininfarina through its own sales network and some units were equipped with an OSCA engine and characterized by an air intake on the bonnet. 1960 – FIAT 1500 COUPÈThe one you havehas the air intake on the bonnet. | Dino 2400 Coupé lover | Re: Can Anyone Identify This Fiat It really looks like a FIAT 1200 Coupé with Pininfarina coachwork (image from Wikipedia). Apart the metal "stripe" on the side and bigger side windows, that your car has, the two looks the same. These cars were quite "fuoriserie", not made in big quantities, so maybe some pieces were different from others if the customer had particular needs. Or maybe, could your car be a 1200 Cabriolet later converted in Coupé-like form? Even here in Italy I have never seen a car like that!
