Where are the regata's??

i've been reading the posts in this forum for sometime and i can't find any posts from regata owners. i personally feel regata is one of the greatest cars manufactured by fiat. i own a 1985 regata 85s. its not in the best condition but i enjoy driving it. anybody else own regata? i'm also thinking of getting a tempra. any previous regata/current tempra owners care to write about their experience?

Blimey, I knew Egypt was hot - but have you never had ANY rain there? All the Regata's disolved in the Hurricane of October 1987 and havent been seen since:D

I had one, a 1988 85 antares about 2 years ago. Great car, really fun to drive if a bit sluggish for a 1.6. True most rusted away but the ones left are generally pretty tidy now. There are loads in north London for some reason. To be honest, although the Tempra is a very good car, it doesnt have the character of the Regata.

2004 Panda Eleganza.... nice!

well, its true it has a lot of rust:( but it feels very luxurious and spacious. do tempras suffer from the same rust problem as the regatas?

no, Tempras are galvanised. However they can rust around the front bumper mounting points, the rear inner sills and the floorpan, but they have to be pretty neglected. Any rust on doors, outer sills, wheelarches etc is the result of accident damage or replacement panels that werent galvanised. If you go for a Tempra, avoid the digital dashboard cars as the dashes are a bit tempremental. Also the carb models are a bit quicker than fuel injected ones. A nice early 90s carb model with no electric windows etc will be a good buy and reliable!

well' the engine was more of a 1.5 than a 1.6 and it is 20 years old now so i think it is good enough for its age. besides the regata is a very big and heavy car. anybody still own one, or am i the only one here? come on guys don't embarrass me.[^]
