Well done Kieth (y) and its a breath of fresh air that people can actually look past fiat and at companies like Hyundai I keep saying this in the panda and stilo section but I think they must think I am on drugs or summat..IMO fiat are screwed as a manufacturer and need to get their act together very quickly or suffer the consequences..

Congrates to you now sit back and enjoy..(y)

Re: My MJet GPS

Best of luck with the Huundi Keith (y) and don't be a stranger :D

Sounds like you got yourself a nice car with lots to play with, but i thought you didn't like the grey

Don't forget to do a members motors non fiat thred and give us an insight in to what the car is like (y)

Re: My MJet GPS

Thanks Phil / Payney. I'm gobsmacked actually, sitting in my GPS before & after my test drive it struck me, as Phil says how much catchup Fiat have to do. Maybe they already started with the Evo. There really is a World of difference folks... no sour grapes here I still love the GPS to bits!

The Grey actually looks good in the metal Payney, the silver for me less so.

maybe they think you are on the wrong forum :nutter: it says last time i looked this was fiat forum and panda an stilo are fiats so that is what people who post in them sections will want to talk about, if they wanted to talk about the others then they would do it in the non fiat section or on a site for the other cars

why are you still here any way? you always telling people how rubbish it is here but keep coming back

Re: My MJet GPS

I agree to an extent that Fiat have some catching up to do, but not in terms of equipment - a lot of the equipment that your Hyundai has I could do without (parking sensors, millions of airbags, etc), just adding weight and more things to go wrong. Fiat need to work on reliability and offer longer warranties to show that they are not the '80's rustbuckets that everyone remembers so vividly. However, I will agree that Hyundai have come a long way and I would consider them if I was ever in the market for a brand-new car.

I also agree with Apple, the Coupe is :yum: but my manager has one and says he's had no end of issues with it, might be 'cos it's only the 1.6 though.

Oh and @Dave: Yes, this is a FiatForum but are you really telling me that you are so narrow minded as to say that no other manufacturer even remotely interests you? I was always under the assumption that this was a forum for automotive fanatics in general - like our friends PNL and Ffoxy - who can see past a badge. I don't know about you but I don't want to be part of a community that says 'you're sh*t 'cos you drive a Korean/French/German/Jap/etc car', so I sincerely hope that's not what you're trying to tell me?

Edit: Sorry for the mini-rant Keith

:) No need to apologise Eklipze3k, I accept peoples views on cars of any make including Fiat. We are all individuals, with often changing needs & wants, I want a change now so I have looked outside the box at the make & model the JDPower survey indicates is a bit of a Gem. I'll try it formyself & see with an honest view. But what I will say, around the issues dave & Phil have, is that it makes me :( I met dave once, we got on fine, he's funny with a dry sense of humour, helpful in a mechanical hands on sense as well as advice wise on the Punto, he's a likeable guy. I haven't met Phil but he has always been wise, supportive & knowledgeable on the Stilo. Oftenon the tinterweb character differences become exaggerated, and we lose the common bond that joins us as car enthusiasts, there is room for all of us.

Yes I miss the "good old days" of The Fiat Forum, and a lot of the now absent regulars, but I am hopeful that the fun days will be back, there are probably a lot of personal & external factors in these recession times that are causing friction.

But here's to Fiat, I love the Grande Punto Sporting MJet, but its time for me to move on just a little bit, but I'll still be here, bet on it! (y)

you not read properly, he said he keeps going on about them in the stilo and panda sections and wonders why people ignored it, talkin other makes is good but he is in sections telling people their cars are crap and they should buy another make instead

Clears up my confusion then (y)

I think certain colours always look better in the flesh [sorry metal] than you expect.

I bet you'll miss the torque :D

Did you trade it in or will we be seeing the Mjet around here still?
