ok, i have a fiat grande 1.3, and theres some company i have found that has upgraded the 1.3 with a bigger turbo.i may look into this for mine.
my question is, would my turbo fit on an unturbo'd 1.5 single over head cam 1.5 daewoo nexia engine if i was to get all the proper manifold etc etc to accomodate it. or would it have to be a specific turbo?
i will ask on my daewoo forum, but you lot are more knowledgable i think :p and theres a lot more of you to read this.

It depends how much you are going to spend. I bet a Daewoo Nexia would not be worth the amount you would spend on the engine conversion. Have a look on Members Motors at some of the people who have done turbo conversions to N/A cars, it will give you an idea of what is involved. Any turbo will fit any engine in most cases. As Custard says though, your turbo may not suit the engine charectoristics.

sorry but your question makes no sense
you can just bolt a turbo on
you need to fit all the fueling, etc
its not a small job, also its not about the turbo fitting, its whether the turbos flow specs suit the engine
is the 1.5 a petrol?

i know you cant, henc why i said if i got the proper manifold etc etc. my nexias only an offroad project, so if it went wrong no biggy. yep its a petrol engine

well the turbo would be a spare if i upgraded my one on my punto, and nexia stuff is dirt cheap, and in eaurop are very popular, so could be hardish, but not impossible and very expensive to do.

cheers (y) il have a look at them and see. im undecided whether to put in a whole engine conversion, as the nexia is an astra mark 2 in a newer body, i may look for a redtop, or an sri engine or something. could be interesting (y)

A lot of the stuff that would be required for the conversion would have to be custom built. This isn't cheap at all, wether or not it is popular in Europe.

ok then, il have a bit more of an investiagte, but it may have to just be an idea, and a dream lol. i only meant if its popular in europe, you may be able to get stuff more readily available hence a little cheaper.

thats the astra beased one isnt it?
so stop ****ing about with turbo conversions and drop a C20LET or the newer Z20let
lot less work i would bet

edit: quick look on youtube shows both and the V6 have been fitted

thats the one, still a lovely little car. it would be a lot less work, but i bet the engine cost would be the same as a turbo upgrade!! haha.
im thinking about an engine swap, but wanted to consider all my options first (y)

iv found some N/A engines on ebay for around 2-300 quid, and avergae 75000 miles. they claim there pushing 155bhp, which sounds appealing, and is quite a bit of horse for little money, and also a little cheaper, so my budget could afford it quite soon. could those N/A engine push out much more than 155 bhp if tuned more? or is that there limit?
