Perhaps i should find a nissan forum to post this but i thought i would share this with you anyway as they might be upset......(although proberly not)

My brother and me are now the owners (not proud) of a 1990 micra..
I know what your thinking....WHY?????
Well...we are doing a charity rally from here to Mali in Africa.
France,spain,morroco,western sahara,maritania,senegal turn left into mali..

So i wont bang on about it now...but if there is interest i would be happy to post updates, pics and links to web site, interviews etc before we set off.

Should be fun!!!!!........Errrrr i think...

1990 ... would that still be the boxy shape? If so, then at least it's not the god-awful bubble cars they've been making recently :yuck:

Good luck with the rally though, sounds like it'll be great fun!

T-bone it with a Seat Ibiza.

I found that worked well. Micra needed to be dragged onto the car carrier - the Seat drove on.

The boxy ones are alright. As for the latest one, how anyone would even consider buying such a flabby mess is beyond me. Good luck

Lot's of things could kill it, elephant sitting on it, brick wall....

I'm gonna guess you want it to get somewhere near the finish line though!

Just that i had one that did 140,000mls..never looked after and never went wrong..plus you see too many on the roads....I'm doing my bit to keep the population down!!!!

Steven (mod from the panda section) and my mate Alister (who did the Nurburgring in the panda with me and boy did that go well....) both had them bloody boxy micras and ended up spending more on them than I've ever done on any panda

All this 'Jap is best' is really urban myth... Some cars a a bit better but that micra is pretty much like all the rest and isn't one of them.

me and my mate killed an h reg one jumping over a humped back bridge- suspension collapsed!

he then got a f reg one and crashed it and it disintegrated because of the amount of rotten panels!

BBS have you ever owned a car and nothing has ever gone wrong on it? Everything you post is fairly negative about everything and every car when you post in this section

from here to Mali without a comfortable seat!

My mate had an newer one with a 1.3 in it survived being hit sideswiped a truck and the engines are very strong its still going now despite him put 25,000 miles on it at warp 9 with only one service at the end of that for the m.o.t. then selling it to his sister for a 1st car it then stood around out in a street 8 months and is now back out terrorising the roads again with a fresh m.o.t. that cost nothing other than the test!!!
