Re: why i shouldnt be allowed...

Golf's (newish ones) are overpriced gash. I had a Golf tdi for 3months and a Fabia vRS for 6months and I had more problems and faults with them two than all of the fiats I've owned. The two dealers I found were just as bad and unhelpful as my local Fiat dealer with Skoda being the better of the two.

Yeah theres a mk2 golf gti on station with yellow cross spokes and dark pearl purple paint and a 1.8 20V Turbo lump from a Octavia vRS with 220BHP . Unfortunatly 3 days after the transplant the Big end bearing started giving up .

as much as i like the 1.8T, it lacks torque and doesnt enjoy power increases. even a remap can lead to bottom end problems.

yeah he's found out the hard way pmsl. Its almost put him in the divorce courts .

He said its 'almost' a straight transplant. Mounts and everything fit as long as you put a leon cupra gearbox on. Oh and you need to grind away part of the shell where the accelerator mount used to be to fit the electronic throttle.
