I like the old golfs as well

The MK4 GTI's aren't that special i don't think and the new ones even worse

Although still want one of these for the summer

i went to look at a mk1 cab not too long ago, after i sold the sei (still had bravo) was on an A plate, had full service history, full white leather interior and hood. it was totally mint, and he wanted a straight grand for it he could of easily got 3 times that much. i didnt get enough from selling the sei to buy it tho

im really torn between a 20VT coop or a mk1 golf as my next car.. but i cant really think about it till i finish uni next summer

That's what they guy was doing that I bought my 205 from..

Well I think it was from a passat but similar lump..

Hmmm a MK1 Clipper in white with that engine

Copy what everyone else is doing then . At work theres a mk2 gti a mk1 cab and a scirroco with a 1.8 20vt lump dropped in them.

See..2.9 vr6 conversion on a mk1 or mk2.... would be worth it for the noise alone!Although may be a little nose heavy!

2.8 VR6

ex used to have a mk3 VR6... dont think ive heard of one in any other mk of golf... might not be possible.

id like an R32 mk2 or a G60 mk2 (1.8 charged) .... or better yet... a charged R32

i want all the retro style of a mk1 or a mk2, but i want speeeeeeeeed too

The R32 engine is an evolution of the narrow angle VR6 but in 3.2L (3189cc) and 237bhp. There are a fair few Corrado's running that engine now to good effect.

Anyway I think a MK2 Golf with a 1.4L Supercharged & Turbo charged 167bhp engine from Golf GT and soon to be Polo GTi would be nice just for something different, though I imagine getting one of those engines and then getting it to run right may be a double ball ache!

i didn't realise old golfs were quicker than coupes? the last time vw's were cool was when the beastie boys wore the badges on chains around their neck!

Get a Tipo 16v much better than a golf, better looking, better handling, roomier , and not common. just pray the engine doesn't go wrong! lol.
