I know this is not the place - BUT ITS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!

Hi clever tech people,

Nothing to do with my lovely, fully functionable 500, but rather with my other half's Subaru Outback. Namely the alarm goes off beserk, for no apparent reason (parked in driveway and I can see it, so no one is fiddling with it) and it has happened second night in a row, so neighbours going a bit unfriendly

I really know this is not the place, or the car, but need some info before I take the hammer to the bloody thing!! Can alarm be switched off by us (I believe it is factory fitted Thatcham 1) or I need to get it to the dealer?(and will they be able to turn the damn thing off?)

All help appreciated
Mel

Can't help but you could try posting on www.scoobynet.com - I'm sure they'd be able to help.

check all windows and doors are closed correctly.

is the LED making an unusual flash sequence when armed? that would suggest a fault, the sequence tells you which fault.
