Re: VW Scirocco

Looks like a mash-up of all the VW brands. Stock check of the parts bins at VW revealed they needed to build a Frankenstine car.

I chuckled at that until I realised how right you are!

Re: VW Scirocco

Hellcat you only made me think that when I saw you post on here

And I like them both still.. except the Bravo has too many doors for my liking..

Jug- yeah your right but when has it ever been different in recent years they see what cars sell well and copy it with a few new features.. gurantees them good sales so the trend will surely never change

Re: VW Scirocco

focus was very different to the reast of the market when released. i think that set the tone for today's market, along with the ever influential golf.

something new, different and exciting will come along soon enough and change everything again- until then we'll see yet another focus or golf wannabe getting released one after the other.

someone needs to step up and spend a few million on something different. i wouldnt want to guess who it will be.

Although luckily my circumstances don't dictate the need for a sensible car for a few years yet hopefully

Re: VW Scirocco

It looks alright, and the entry level 1.4 FSi is only around 18k and will go pretty well. All VW have to do now is ditch the awful MkV Golf and fat Polo, find a replacement for the thrown together Beetle, stop making hideous 4x4s and the Touran thing and bingo, theyd have a decent line up!! The new Passat is cool, especially the CC.

What happened to good VWs like they made up to the late 90s?

At the end of the day, if I had to actually buy a VW Scirocco or an Alfa... my hard earned would probably go to the Germans Im afraid
