new car, stilo or other?

Hey guys

ok Dave blocked my thread cos there were ****s commenting on it (ok well not ****s but they were taking the p*ss lol)

anyways im looking at either buying a:

Stilo 1.6

Megane mk2 1.4 or 1.6

Audi A3 Old model 1.6

Ford Focus 1.6

I found a Focus that is modified already but not too much and does 0-60 in 8.7 seconds. i love the look of it and im gona see it today might even drive off with it today (paying the guy tho lol just incase u think im gona rob him lol)

I like the stilo just not the back lol

Megane, well i love it but everyone else is putting me off buying it, i love all the lil gadgets

Audi is wicked but its old lol and the new ones are too much for my budget hehe

But ye what u guys think

please no sh*ty comments as i dont want this thread to be locked either

thanks

Remus

Re: Selling the punto

remus, maybe you should sell your old car first - otherwise it will hang about for months (speaking from experience)

you lowered the price to a realistic level yet?

Re: Selling the punto

Despite the title this thread is supposed to be about a new car not the old one.

Lightly modified 1.6 Focus hitting 60 in 8.7?
Lightly modified with a stillsaw to remove alot of weight?

A 1.6 focus hitting 0-60 in 8.7 wont be lightly modded.

I have a 1.6 focus so am probably your best person to talk to and they are slow as sh*t

What mods have been done to it and i would like to see a printout of the 8.7 time, my friends on ffoc may be interested to see it

If i dont hear anything regarding a printout i assume you or the focus owner are living in cloud cookoo land

my 1.4 tipo was quicker 0-60 than a 1.6 focus! the focus book time was 12.9 well late 12's whereas tipo 1.4 (late carb) is low 12's and it translated nicely into real world lol.

Re: new car, stilo or other?

out of all those the audi is the one i would choose. When i was looking at Audis I was close to buying one. I saw the bravo and fell in love with it. The bravo is similar to the Audi its a great shape and much cheaper.

Parkers says the following:

1.6 Zetec - 10.6's 0-60, 98bhp
1.8 Zetec - 9.9's 0-60, 113bhp
2.0 Zetec - 8.9's 0-60, 128bhp

1.6 focus weighing about 60kg more than a 1.2 Active GP (65bhp/98bhp)

We all know parkers talk crap and IMO arent a good source for information any longer

But 15 years ago 10.6, that wouldve been acceptable but in todays modern era that is slow as sh*t
