People are far to concerned about how safe a car is, as with most things influenced by advertising and clever PR. Manufacturers were getting hard times from always advertising cars on how fast/sexy they were, so then they concentrated on safe and dull it was, now they have done that to death its all about economy, and low tax bands.

The buying public should focus more on being a better driver and having a higher awareness of whats happening around them in terms of other road users, conditions of roads and hopefully avoiding accidents making them ultimately the safest they can possible be irrespective of car they are in.
Sorry but that is C0ck... while I agree with people driving safely there is no accounting for the unexpected genuine accident. Saxo's are sh!t in a bump and no mistake. Check out the Euro NCAP vids...

As for the boy racers on here I suggest you "fast" boys should try it for real on a track, roadracing is for tossers and the outcome just depends on how stupidly you drive and what daft ill educated risks you guys will take not to get embarassed.

You can never expect the unexpected.

And when it happens if you had the chance between being in a Saxo and being in pretty much anything else... then I'd bet you'd be in something that's not French.

precisely, the fto s nearly as heavy as the stilo therfore needs more power to get going, just saying for you to cream an fto, it would have needed to be a crap driver, a 1.8 or a tip, or very bad condition

No I never tar evryone with the same brush, the kn0bs know who they are. A clue is usually the cars they claim to have blown off. Not really the tools of track day heroes TBH. I recomend anyone with racing pretensions take a day at Silverstone or Donnington in a single seat rear engined racer, thats how you learn how badly you drive.
