MK2 Mitsibushi Pajero.

just saw one at the garage on K plate.

it's the exceed with all the toys, leather etc.

he wants £2500, so would take my car, give me the pajero and £700.

does it sound like a good deal?

haven't started researching it properly yet, like mpg (guessing 25mpg) or tax costs or even insurance in my own name.

BUT.. i just want to know about the Pajero, not how stupid it is for me to own such a vehicle lol.

thanks!

Re: MK2 Mitsibushi Pajero.

what engine is it? 3 or 5 door?

our friends got a 5 door shogun, goes like a tank and is diesel, uses a good amount of fuel but damn is it fun to drive, excellent offroad as well.

Remember with the pajero its an import as well, the shoguns are the british spec ones

sorry should have mentioned.

its the 5 door 7 seater.

prefer the import, much better condition.

Re: MK2 Mitsibushi Pajero.

However, the name Montero (meaning "mountain warrior") was adopted in Spanish language markets because Pajero is a slang term for "w@nker".

Re: MK2 Mitsibushi Pajero.

the pajero is a very well respected 4x4 in the middle east. yanks drove cherokees, brits drove discoverys, arabs drove patrols, but anyone who wanted a 4x4 to go off road usually bought a pajero, and for a good reason- they're better.

i've driven a few of them in the past, but only the 180bhp 3.0 V6. in dubai you couldnt get any other model, and if you could no one would have bought it. the 3.0 V6 is a great engine, easy to use off road and it gets you moving nicely on road. fuel consumption is bad (under 20mpg) but you'd expect that.

i have fond memories of the pajero, but looking back the interior was pretty crap even at the time.

Re: MK2 Mitsibushi Pajero.

no, i think he'd get bored of it within 2 hours. unless you want to go offroad there is no point buying a 4x4, well there wasnt until these modern 4x4s came along that are crap off road like the X5, but a pajero isnt one of them.

Re: MK2 Mitsibushi Pajero.

course i want to go off road few of my mates have bought a old jeeps they trailor to places.

it's got a towbar too, was wanting to get a big bike trailor and a caravan, i'd need a new clutch on the punto to pull away with a caravan on the back.

i doubt i'll go for it, with 0ncb quinn want £2500 for insurance. £1600 with 1 years ncb which i'll have in july.

guess i'll stick to my orignal plan and get a small-ish TD for about the same price as punto, something like a Gold GT tdi.
