Re: Ford Focus, revs going to 5k all by them selves

i've heard of a few doing it, if its cable throttle, have a look at the ICV, if its fly by wire, check the throttle posistion sensor and stepper motor.

after checking the basics, vacuum leak, loose manifold, tb etc.

unless it's a diesel, then look at fuel system

Re: Ford Focus, revs going to 5k all by them selves

vacuum leaks are a common problem on the petrol models. 5000rpm is a big leak, should be easy to spot.

only to help some one in a wheelchair.

dovercourt ford in colchester treat him like crap. he stopped out side window an sounded horn, a lady looked out and he showed his blue badge, lady shouts at him there nothing i can do you have to go over there and points to another building, she says i only do crash repairs, he then has to get his wheel chair out and try and find a way into this other building, there was no sign telling him that disabled access was right around the back.
all the lady had to do was ring over to the other building and say he was out side but she did nothing

he has had loads of new fords off them too.

think i might be able to convince him to go fiat now. colchester fiat dealer has ramps to every door even pars department
