Does anyone where I can information about Fiat Fiesta Camper Van

No where. It doesnt exist. The only campervans that fiat did IIRC was the amigo and all the ducato chassis ones. Perhaps it is a ducato model which is a fiesta special edition?

Google doesnt come up with anything on .co.uk nor on google.com

I've bought a house and found one in the garage. It was registered in 1979 and hasn't been on the road since 1989.

No pictures yet, It is still in garage and has to be fully uncovered, but looks similar, slightly different front.

I reckon it's an Amigo then, probably a special edition or a specially converted one. Worth saving. One of our members, Vin, runs one. I'll direct him to this thread.

intresting, i like moving into houses, you always seem to get left with old junk, but its sometimes good, my sister just moved house, the loft is full with good stuff id love to have one of them fiat camper van things

There was a Fiesta, basically is an Amigo. Gavin in the Fiat Motor Club had one for sale recently.

Yes, agree, there was a 'Fiesta' built by Motor Caravan Conversions of Berkhamstead. It was founded in the early 60's by a chap called Bill Rix who had been on holiday to Italy and seen the 600T and came home, set up MCC and produced his first camper on an 850T van in 1965.

An 850T van is this


MCC also built the 'Fargo', 'Amigo' and 'Farina' as well as the 'Fiesta' on the 850T chassis. As far as I am aware Fiesta was only based on 850T. The 850T was replaced by the 900T in about 1977 (different restyled front end)


And the 900T was then replaced by the 900E in 1981 (new dash, front disks off the Panda, square rear lights, etc.)

So if it is 79 and based on 850T it's probably a late registration. The 'Fiesta' may well have carried on to the 900T, but my source book is in Italian and I can translate bits but not all.

Also MCC built the 'Shango' and 'Amigo' on 900T Vans, with the 'Amigo' carried on to the 900E chassis alongside the 'Caravelle'. By this time, with the 900E, Fiat UK were employing MCC as the official appointed converter so Fiat UK published the official brochures on these campers.

Hi, A Fiat Fiesta camper is an 850t With bellows type pop top. There was one on here, (Fiat Forum site) I saw two days ago that was reported stolen, along with the trailer and the tow vehicle, off the motorway services, 1973 L registration. Stolen last November, I think. Looking at your picture looks like an 850T.Opp's sorry I've got the wrong site, It was RetroRides.com I must be sitting in front of this computer for to llllllong!! Or its my age!!!! Have a look, sad story, I dont know if it was ever recovered? if anyone knows, let me know. Just interested. Thanks.
