Hi All
Found your site last night after searching for info on workshop manuals for the Marea 110 JTD. Wish I had found this site years ago. I have a fairly long history with Fiats, first was a Fiorino Diesel then a Panda 1000 FIRE next a Panda 4x4 then a Tipo TD next a Tipo 1.4 and then a Tempra 1.6SW. Been totally happy maintaining these vehicles myself and all but the first Panda went well past 100,000 miles. On Saturday the Tempra at 126,000 miles was traded in against a 2001 Marea 110 JTD. Now here is the worry the Marea has done 61,000 miles with a service history to 35,000 odd. Bringing it home I learn't about droplink knock and while checking the car over on Sunday noticed that the tensioner pulley on the auxiliary belt looks to be lying at a slight angle. So I think thats the first job but comments appreciated if this is normal. This brings me on to the second question, if I'm going to replace the belt and tensioner would it be wise to go the whole hog and do the timing belt and tensioner at the sametime. Has anyone else changed a timing belt on this engine and do you need all the special tools suggested. Any help would be much appreciated as the wife wants to get hold of the car.
Many Thanks
