hey,

i am new i the fiatforum, but i read a few post about people here 'hacking' the can bus, and being able to write can commands to the LCD display in the instrument.

My question is if some of you can guide me on the way to be able to understand how this works?

I already have a arduino can reader (and can make c++ code for sending can id's) also i now a little about how can 'commands' are build. But know close to nothing about how to make data analyze.

My car is a electric version of fiorino mk3 (called microvett), and the electric part broadcast it's data to the LCD display trough a CAN bridge to the normal car's can bus.

There is no standard fuel engine ECU in the car.

abs, air back's, door open signs, and every thing else works as normal.

The Battery management in the car is defect, and i am going to replace it, but before i can do that i need to know how to understand the standard can bus in the fiorino, so i can send my own info to the LCD display, and the normal car's CAN bus

thanks :)

michael
