Hi we are brand new to the world of motorhome ownership and have just bought a 1997 Fiat Ducato Riviera. Being new to this we don't have much of a clue how all the internal electrics, fridge, water etc works and wondered if there is any kind of handbook available.
Also does anybody know what this is under the sink ? Is it an inverter ? Pics attached.

You might be better off posting these sort of inquiries on a motorhome forum as each manufacturer will have different varieties of equipment, these are not Fiat specific. The lower unit looks like the breaker for the mains hook up, the unit above has relays and fuses so probably a control panel, To quote Prince Philip, "looked as though it had been put in by an Indian" applies to the wiring

looks like the top unit is a battery charger/12v supply unit. Lower unit is indeed the 240v input with circuit breakers. i also suggest a MoHo specific forum, likke motorhomefun, (u have topay to join!!), or motorhome facts, which is free. Try not to disturb those wires when 'cluttering up' all the available space! (Nearly always happens, most of do it). I did!!

As above
But basicly is your control box for all 12v system
If u take all betails u can get a pdf about it

As advised, the Motorhome wasn't converted by Fiat. The manufacturer (CI in Italy) will have instructions in Italian, however, CI did not make any of the equipment in the van, its all bought in. Look for manufacturers labels and then google their sites.

I guess you bought privately and missed a handover from your vendor.

For all others reading this thread, if buying a motorhome, have the vendor demonstrate all the facilities before handing over any money.

John Wickersham's publications explain all aspects of the workings of a motorhome and are well illustrated.
Also you could try the excellent Swift Talk forum.......it's free.

Looking at your picture, if the sink waste leaks will the water end up in your electrics? If there is any chance of that I would take precautions asap.
