Hi again community. Hoping for help and advice again. Is the clutch adjustable on my 51 plate Punto? I ask because it's got to the point where I have to push the pedal completely to the floor to get a gear, mostly 1st and reverse, but generally all gears really. When in 1st in traffic, the slightest lift of the pedal and the car wants to move. I fear that it won't be driveable soon, any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The problem seems to be the external hydraulic link between the foot pedal and the clutch rather than the internal clutch..

Allowing for inefficiencies the foot pedal and the external clutch arm should move together. If the pedal travels a long way before the arm moves then it could be air in the pipes.

Mk2 and Mk2b puntos are a total Nope for adjustment
They are Hydraulic not cable

Does the pedal have a really soft spot right at the top - and suddenly you get a little bit of pressure?

As what your saying is the clutch is at the floor, air in the lines would cause this!
as the air is compressable and the fluid aint
So they clutch is probably barely disengaging at best of times hence pedal bite at the floor

no
but make sure there isnt a mat that's restricting you pushing pedal fully down to get a few more miles out of the old girl

Cheers mate, I pulled the mat back and I have a little more clutch to play with. (y) Thanks to everyone for replying. :)
