I just joined the forum; it's good to be part of a group sharing the same interests. My 2017 124 Spider Abarth is my 4th Fiat. Starting in 1970, I have owned a 124 Sport, then a 1977 128, and then a 1978 X19. I live in the hills about 12 miles from the ocean near Santa Barbara. The 124 Spider Abarth has been perfect for the winding country roads in Ventura County.
My interest in the 124 Spider Abarth was peaked when last month's Motor Trend came out with a subjective test pitting the Fiat against a BMW, Porsche, Ford Focus RS and others. When the Fiat came out on top, I just had to test drive one. I was between cars and easily fell in love with the tight six speed, the slot car handling and the pull of the turbo.
So, I drove it home. More to come.........
