Hi

Newbie here. So be gentle....

Got a 2001 Ulysee 2.0 16v petrol.

Been unused for 3 weeks. Started fine, then took it for a run, it coughed and spluttered after about 5 miles then stopped. Turned it off then restarted and it has be fine for a week since then. Then yesterday it failed to start. It turns over but won't fire.

It has fuel, a freshly charged battery, I've checked the inertia fuel cut of switch, and took off the 'fuel pump relay' (?) - the reddish brown thing next to the ECU. It clicks randomly and the connectors look pretty rough and corroded. I cleaned them up but still no luck. Any thoughts?

Your help and boundless knowledge would be much appreciated as we are a ' hard working family' without the luxury of loads of money.

Hi, and welcome to FF, :)

I'm afraid the Ulysee isn't all that well supported on here..
due to it's PSA parentage no doubt..:eek:

is it without SPARKS - just doesn't run..:confused:

basics ;
does the immob / key symbol light briefly..then go out ?,
does the fuel pump run..??

My 2001 fuel pump relay was corroded so I bought a new one from Peugeot as if was far cheaper than from Fiat. You can check whether fuel is reaching the injectors easily enough. You might want to join the Citroen Synergies/Peugeot 806/Fiat Ulysse EV1 facebook group also as its more active.
