Hello All,
This is my first time here, do hope I get it Right.
I have a 2009 - 2010 Grande Punto 1.4 8V with a Dualogic Gear Box.
The car works very well, as I try to keep it running in top condition. Servicing is done in a timely manner, as well as major repairs are carried before a break down takes place.
I had the usual Oil Leak from the Solenoid (near to the Selespeed oil Reservoir). I had the PONTETIOMETER replaced, which did not solve the problem. Then I had the complete Actuator replaced, which has solved the problem (so far). While this was being done I had the Clutch Assembly replaced (with the Clutch Release Bearing).
Since the above Clutch Replacement was done I have an occasional issue that comes up. The reverse gear would engage with a Crunch ( as if no clutch was used and the Reverse Gear was engaged). When this happens I can used the car for a couple days before it happens again.
I would appreciate any assistance in this matter, on what might need replacing. I have the aftermarket software to which I can scan the ECU for any codes. When this happened the first time the following codes came up:
P2916 - Gearbox Subsystem.
P2917 - Gearbox Subsystem.
NO CODE - An uncommanded Gear disengement detected
The fault is present now. Take appropriate action to fix this sensor fault.Dashboard warning light was not activated for this fault.
Since this has happened (4) four times the system was scanned where these codes did not appear nor was any Dashboard code or light on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
