Hi I am new to this just need some advise I have a doblo cargo 1.9 diesel its been into the garage twice and they cant seem to find the fault . from a cold start its fine but like today went shopping and after a hour started it and the engine ran roughly and very jerky when pulled away and severely lacked power but then after a few minutes seems to correct itself it also on one occasion blew out clouds of white smoke there are no warning lights showing and the sensors have been checked and work fine according to the garage HELP this is costing a lot and not being solved

Hi execgirl. Welcome to the forum. Have a look at the air filter to see if any water is getting into it.If it is wet you will need to find out where the water is getting in to it.

The air filter is fine no water but have had some tell me its the EGR not working properly and to blank it off to confirm or get a new one but don't want to spend a fortune and find out its fine

Hi execgirl, If you are only doing short journeys I suppose the EGR could be a problem. Hopefully more knowledgeable forum members of EGR's will help you.
