having a similar issue myself, my rear right indicator slows down when I brake, and braking with the headlights on it doesn't work at all!

have had trouble with that same brake light before so surely a connection/wiring issue?

Hi, take off the rear tail lights and take out each bulb and clean .Also clean the holders,removing all oxidisation. I tend to use a very smooth wet and dry paper. I then put one of those little satchets of silica jel at the bottom of the tail light away from any connections. This helps to absorb some moisture for a while.

agreed, this sounds like classic earthing issues. Clean the connectors and bulb holders out first - then if you still have problems move onto the actual wiring but my money is on some corrosion in the bulb holders. A dremel with small brass wire brush attachment is brilliant for cleaning out the bulb holders Remember to clean the bulbs themselves too if they are a bit manky too.
