Hi all, was brave/mad and bought a Barchetta (cheap) in england and got it shipped over here to N Ireland... Always wanted one and when she arrived (despite passing mot 2 weeks ago) found out she needs way more work than i thought....
Not really put off though as drives fine....
"Rear window torn" actually wasnt attached to hood and hood was tatty so new one on its way.
Rear bumper seems to be a nasty fibreglass one that was painted many, many shades of blue/green..have had a go with aerosol and at least it now is same colour as the car..finish is okish..will be fine until i do paintwork on rest of car.
Lots of dings and scrapes around car but when cleaned up paintwork really good.
Bit of a rattle on startup (i guess variator?) but engine sounds very sweet...
Going to do all filters, plugs, timing belt kit and water pump as no idea when last done..
Brakes squeaky but has been sorn'd for over a year..ill get them looked at...
Interior in quite good condition..drivers seat side bolster has been repaired ..electrics inc, aerial, windows etc work but no stations on radio..
Exhaust looks recent and sounds good...

Anyway ill try to update pics etc as work is done...
Nice to have a wee soft top for the first time...

Not allowed to buy anything else now as have another weekend car (2002 Maserati Cambiocorsa) and have run out if garage space...

Welcome to The Barchetta experience, looks like you are going to be busy, good luck with the work. Bought my car in a less than average condition a good few years ago. Had fun and heartache sorting the car. But well worth the effort .

Sorry Dave-M, I liked your post, my finger spread accross the like and dislike and Apple decided it was a dislike! My apologies, my fat fingers.
Casadalloro welcome, we love to hear everyones adventures and experiences with their Barchetta. Good luck

Welcome to the club. The Barchetta, is a real "Fix It Again Tony", but you can't help being glad it's in your driveway.A real head turner that is so nice to drive. Besides they don't like to be ignored, just like someone else I know.
