Hi! I have not long had my Fiat 500 pop (59 reg) and I've been trying to figure out if I have an aux connection. The option for aux comes up on my radio screen so I am assuming there must be an aux connection somewhere? I just don't know where it is. I've searched high and low in my car for the input and I just can't find it whatsoever, any ideas anyone?

Thanks!

Purchase a cable on eBay or amazon you'll know when you see it as it's a small yellow plug one end and a headphone 3.5mmjack on the other. Very simple to fit and just needs plugging into the rear of the head unit!

How do I go about getting to the rear of the head unit? I have absolutely no clue about cars whatsoever so I have no clue what to do! I've found a cable on eBay that someone else posted about but I just don't know where exactly it would go?

The four blank buttons on the radio are actually covers for removing the headunit. You need a set of ISO radio keys and they slot in the holes that you'll reveal when removing the covers. It's a very simple task even for someone like yourself who has no clue about cars, just take your time with it and you'll be absolutely fine.

Quite a few cables also come with the removal "keys" just make sure you get one long enough to go down under the dash and out and up, if money no object a interface is available to wireless hook up your phone so you get music and hands free all via the radio buttons but it's about £100+

Great advice. You can buy the keys online, or just pop into Halfords and they are £5.

I had to buy some shortly before I got shot of our Panda; my little boy managed to post a 2p into the CD player and it just would not play any CDs. Even to this day I still don't know how I managed to get it to work (or the fate of the 2p!), but basically I used the keys to pull the unit out, give it a bit of a wiggle and hey presto, it started working again!:D:D:D(y)

I haven't removed the 500's unit before, but with your instructions above I am sure it is a doddle.

Hi
There is a video on YouTube showing you how to remove your radio.

I would watch a guide on removing radios so you know what you're getting yourself into. You can need to use a fair bit of force sometimes, and there can be a particular technique with the keys i.e. squeezing and pulling simultaneously.

I removed my 500 headunit, and replaced it with an aftermarket one. The 500 one comes out easily enough, just be careful not to pull the aerial connector out, or you'll have static radio for a while.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and I bought my first fiat 500 pop (59 plate) 2 days ago. In my old car I connected my iPod via USB slot but obviously the pop doesn't have one. I'm just wondering if there's anyway to do this in this car? I bought a USB adaptor for the cigarette lighter and tried my phone and iPod but all it does is charge it. Does anyone know of a way I can connect it to the radio and get it to play? Can anyone suggest any solution? Thanks in advance :)

Well if you've read the above you'll have the answer, a simple cable works no control, plugging in the rear, or a Xcarlink £130 gives you(blue tooth) hands free, music streaming and full control could also look up Denison Gateway if you have a Iphone ipod

I don't get where the last one on eBay plugs in? Having taken out and put back in two fiat 500 stereos this week, I wasn't aware of any spare sockets? Was this because they were lounge models not a Pop?

Probably ours had 1 or maybe even 2 spare un used ports it just plugged in (simple cable aux in)at one side though it's not obvious as the socket hole is designed for a bigger plug

This shows the 3 ports, the aux in cable plugs in on the far left of the bottom port even though it's much smaller (connector )
