Hi everyone,
I hope this forum will help me with some issues on my Fiat.
I bought a Fiat Croma 1.9 jtd 120hp 74k on the clock and I'm wondering how light is the clutch!
It seems not to many cars are on the road :):) and I'm feeling like I've got classic car! Isn't it? :)
Is the clutch normal like this or that's first sign that is almost gone :)
I'm going to change next week oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter and then will start driving to see what she needs more ...
Thank you in advance!
Yordan

I do apologise for any inconvenience because of my English

Hi, and welcome, :)
a LIGHT clutch pedal action is probably good news.,;)
it's the failure of the slave cylinder that can make things TIGHT - before they fail completely:rolleyes:

Thank you for you message mate,
I was thinking about it but wasn't sure...
It's not good news...
I'll see after some work tomorrow on this car!
Have a nice day!

Hi welcome to the wonderful exclusive (they imported 1500 total) world of UK Croma ownership,
The clutch is light on the Croma. It uses a concetric slave cylinder hydraulic arrangement. This feels much lighter if you are used to a cable & lever arm set-up.

Note that if your car has a DPF you will need to reset the "oil degradation" counter in the engine ECU as well as the service interval when you change the oil. You need Fiat specfic software to do this. I use Multiecuscan www.multiecuscan.net and a ELM327 USB interface. The cost will be repaid the first time you don't have to get a main dealer to do a diagnostic. It does far, far more than a generic scan tool.
