Hey guys, greatings from Austria.

I'm gathering information about the engine swap at the moment and didn't find my way to manage it yet.

My Plan is to replace the 1.1 Spi in my Seicento with a 1.4 16v from a 500 with 6 speed transmission. I already been through a lot of threads concerning engine swaps like this, but i think that it hadn't been done with a 500 engine. What obstacles will i exactly meet and is there an easier way to fit the 1.4 in my sei (doubts about the esp and the antiblock, my sei hasn't got one)

Thanks for reply

I think that engine has VVT, so you will need an earlier 1242 cylinder head if it has.
If you can't get the Seicento Ecu re-mapped then the older version 1242 16v Ecu is the best option with code box.

Okay, well it does not have vvt, they managed to get more power out of it by changing the map, my question was if it is possible to make the swap with the 1.4 ecu, i don't have the connections for remaping and i'm pretty sure it's quite a job. Using the ecu of a 1.2 will result in a loss of power, so not the best way.

You can use the original Ecu but need the code box, keys etc.
You then have to use the accelerator pedal from the 500 as it is fly by wire type.
Matching the wiring is quite a job and would recommend looking into that first as It's quite a job. Drawing a wiring diagram is recommended also.
I used TinyCAD as It's free and easy to use when fitting my Omex.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 500 will be canbus wiring and have a bcm everything has to run through iirc that was the reason whitz couldn't use the oem management and had to go standalone on his tjet

Well, I didn't think about the can bus, ****, that would be tricky, so i need to go for 1.2 ecu anyway.

Know that the fly by wire is also hard to fit, but is there a proper way to fit it in or do i need to make an adaptorplate myself?

The wiring will also come from the 1.2, if I got that.

As I said before. You need to study the wiring.
With regard to can-bus, It may not be used for the engine management on that model or just provide fault reporting outputs?
The code system may be integrated within another device like the body computer so you could have a problem?
Some things could be worked around but it's down to your skills.

Without studying the system design/integration I cannot say if it is possible.
