Hi all,

Fiat Ulyssee Eleganze 2.0l petrol 2003

A hose towards the back of my coolant system has split. Unfortunately Fiat no longer stock it. All the breaker yards I have tried do not sell hoses. I found one place and ordered it to be told that actually they cant get it either!

Anyone have any ideas where I could get one or if any other models have the same hose.

So. Did you get the part number from ePER. then enter it into Ebay. Or tried it into google?

Hi, i'm not too sure. Thank you fro your help though. My mechanic is going to take a look and see.

Hi, I have tried searching google, ebay and lots of breakers etc. Unfortunately i just cant source it :(

Hi. From what the garage told me, it is part number 1488439080 which i think is part 13 on the diagram. Thank you for trying to help :)

Hi after looking at the diagram again, I think the part number given to me is incorrect. The part number given to me correlates with number 15 which clearly isn't what I need.

Wasn't the Ulysse a joint venture with Peugeot/Citroen. Try a Peugeot or Citroen dealer. I think they use the same part numbers on the joint venture models.
Being a 2.0 petrol..unlikely to be a FIAT Engine.

Personally..I would go to a motor factors. Get a LONG HOSE .(of the correct bore) from their stock. And use the angled cranks..cutting out the excess lengths as necessary.

Hi all,

Update: My mechanic has told me that the water pump has a metal pipe coming out that is around 6-8 inches long. The hose that I need goes on there and attaches to the thermostat housing. Does this mean anything to anyone, as I'm still lost. Again, I appreciate all the help from you guys so far :)

Hi all,

Would my vehicle have an intercooler hose. Just looking on EBAY and they look pretty similar :) Its a 2.0l petrol.

Unless it is a turbo petrol, it won't have an intercooler. An intercooler hose will carry air only. The hose you pictured is a water hose, with another larger hose around the outside, perhaps for insulation. That outer is corrugated, like air hoses are.

the photo you posted looked like it went past the power steering..:confused:

is the pipe in the 2 x photo's the same.., and does the crinkly outer serve a purpose( carry air/etc) or is it just a form of heat-shielding..??

as I said before..at this point. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=u...=Yc9aV_SDAsKCmQHAlpC4BQ#imgrc=76c5R-9JrriWEM:
I'd be looking at an alternative hose ;)

Tell us which hose it is in this pic and we can locate a part number. If necessary, show this pic to your mechanic and let him point at it.

On ePER we have a choice of Ulysse, 94-02, or 01-10. I've assumed the later one from your year given, if yours is the earlier version, we'll need the earlier listing.

Hi all,

Again thanks for all your help. After speaking with Fiat and Citroen and also my mechanic we are pretty sure it is part number 9. The outer casing you see in the pics is some sort of heat shield. Part 9 seems to be discontinued everywhere though.

The part that varesecrazy has linked to is to the oil cooler on an auto.

Item 9:
->05/04 1490972080 c.£250
05/04-> 1499785080 c.£265

All the hoses I've looked at in the pic appear to be £150 or more. Someone at Fiat is trying to avoid ever stocking them.
I understood that EU law required parts to be available for a minimum number of years after end of production, so if this model ended in 2010, I'd expect them to be still available, as a replaceable part.
Time to scan the suppliers of silicone hoses.
e.g. http://www.viperperformance.co.uk/
or these: http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/
Google silicone hoses and browse the results. Quite possible to make something up with standard angles and joiner pieces.
