Hi all , I'm new to this forum so hopefully my message gets seen and hopefully answered...... I have a doblo van 2011 , I have a speed restricter on it that restricts me to 68mph ... I would love to get this removed.... Can anybody give me advice on how or where to get it removed...... Many thanks Craig

Think it's done via a garage with OBD these days. The days of a bolt under the loud pedal are long gone.

Craig,

I assume that your van is the 1.3 diesel.

Looking at MultiECUScan, there is a Speed Limit function on the 1.3 Multijet with the Marelli 8DF CF5/EOBD Diesel Injection system (whatever that is!).

Under the "Engine" section, at the bottom of the page for "Adjustments", the Speed Limit can be adjusted to 90kph, 100kph, 110kph, 130kph or No Limit.
I would imagine from this that it would be a simple enough job to code the No Limit into the car - if you can get MultiECUScan, leads and a laptop!

I couldn't see any speed limiter for the 1.6 or 2 litre engines at a quick glance.

HTH

Hi. So in multiecuscan you select your vehicle and then it offers the options found on that. For mine the engine management might be 2 kinds of Marelli (with or without dpf) or I think Bosch. You can find the right one by trying to connect until it works.. . My Ducato is very similar.

You do not HAVE to guess.

If you get MES to scan for interfaces.it will just happen..then make a note

OK will try. It can scan for and find the elm327 device but once that is done I have still had to tell it the precise type of ecu as mentioned above. So might be missing something.
