Hi, and welcome,
before spending money get the basics sorted;

improved earthing from battery to engine /g-box , and Chassis

no dice, get the spare key and make sure the immob. light goes out, and the fuel tank pump whirrs for a few seconds.

next step check and clear stored fault codes..,

Thanks Charlie .

First one checked and ok but not "improved".
Second ok, light off pump working ok. Only got one key at the moment.
How do I go about the third one you mention.

The van was delivered to my house, I drove it about and put it on the drive, next day it didn't start.

There will be a diagnostic socket..usually near drivers knee fusebox.

Where are you..the vehicle based ?

Righto boys and girls of the fiat Forum.

I have noticed when reading thru different threads that an outcome post is hardly ever made......So with that in mind I would firstly like to thank all of those that replied and helped me..

That done I can tell you that today I fired up my Van for the first time since I parked it on the drive....

I changed all the filters and attempted to get to the plugs, I was thwarted by the two cap bolts at the back of the inlet Manifold..... %$&K knows how you get those out.....???

However I now have the cleanest engine in the world....LOL

Further brain picking and forum reading left three things to try...

  1. Fuel
  2. Starter motor
  3. Burn it.
I picked on number two as it seemed the easiest, 73 quid and one week later, with scuffed arms and an aching back, plus a fiddly job as a previous Herbert had buggered up the clutch slave cylinder cap bolt (I had to back the SM out instead of the SM bolt as the bottom bolt would not pass the slave cylinder).......I find myself basking in the self adulation of a bloke who has fixed it......

So, Once again thanks if you helped, its appreciated, and hopefully you will also have some satisfaction in the fact that you know the ending to the tale..

Cheers
