Hi all I'm a new user, and have just registered, my vehicle is a 05 Fiat Dublo Cargo 1.9. I am wondering is the Rear number plate light powered through a relay, or off the rear side lights, ( I wonder because the fuse chart shows a fuse for the Rear Number plate light), The number plate light is not working, (Bulb OK ) I was just wondering if I could power it from the rear side lights

I believe it runs separately from the tail lights, directly from the body computer.

If ones working, and ones not but both bulbs work in the working light fitting (deep breath ) then it's odds on to be a dirty contact, unless you've been in the door for something else and pulled a wire loose or broken something.

Try cleaning it all properly before you do anything else, including all connections, and pull test the wiring in case something is broken, loose or dry-jointed.

with jobs like this I always try and swap over light units,

that'll soon point towards either a power supply issue, or a poor connection
