Hi all. I have previously posted on a Starting and Heating thread and am still sitting with that same problem, only once I do now get the car started it seems to idle ok until I apply petrol. Once my foot is on the accelerator the revs start to go erratic going high and low. I took the car to a mechanic and he has no idea what causes this. It is a huge problem in traffic as when I pull off, suddenly the revs drop and the car stalls or revs jump and I wheel spin as pulling off. Once the car cuts out, I battle to start it by either putting a screwdriver into the number 1 plug lead or disconnecting the battery and computer and leaving it for a few hours if not days before it will start again.:(:rolleyes::cry::cry::cry:

Its a 2005 or maybe 2007 1.2l. I have tried to have the ecu read but the mechanic I took it to says no faults can be found when doing a reading. The Fiat agents say although the ecu says Fiat, it is not a Fiat ecu so they cant read it bu tit is sending power to the coil so all seems to be ok and no problem.
There were no problems with the idling and revs until this last mechanic put in a new fuel pump as he thought that it was a fuel problem causing the cutting out and starting problems. Since then the car is worse than ever !!!
