Remove drivers seat ( 4 allen screws) then by cutting the wires for seat belts etc making a careful written note of the colours!!(unless you are a six year old, I did it yesterday on my 73rd birthday), remove off side central consul cover (two buttons) remove under dash panel O/S (two buttons) tie the clutch pedal down with a large cable tie to cross shaft, undo steering column clamp pull off splines (lock the steering wheel first) move it to the right, unplug the motor remove the three retaining screws to forward one is difficult, carefully remove motor TAKING NOTE THE WAY IT CAME OUT!!, i.e its easier then putting it back

, take motor apart, I cut the grey looking plastic cap off covering the outer bearing with a sharp knife then tapped the motor spindle fairly hard with a fibre mallet, once loosened wriggle the motor out of the housing (three plastic clips hold it in place), once out I found a break in PCB which I repaired by soldering a wire across the gap (keep it neat and flat against the board) tested it and reassembled, I was quite pleased with myself as it works perfectly now as does the instrument panel after following the thread for that repair,
i.e, two wires soldered onto the voltage stabiliser, you guys have saved me loads of dosh, Thanks again, kind regards to you all Geoff.
