Bought a very solid but butchered wiring 124 Spider, then a rusty 1978 Spider parts car.
At the present I'm swapping the entire harness from the parts car to the "good" car, testing all electrical before installing. It's interesting the parts car had an AC installed at one time. (These parts will be for sale).
Big stumbling block is no keys with either car, waiting for key blanks, hopefully local locksmith will be able to resolve the problem after I get the key blanks.

I'm going to need many new parts so my question is WHO IS THE 124 SPIDER VENDOR that is preferred over the others. A PM would be OK.
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Keys

Iirc, if you remove the switch part from the ignition switch assembly by removing a large wire circlip, there is sometimes a metal disc stamped with the key number at the base of the lock cylinder.

Door/trunk locks, if you look closely at the end of the lock barrel there is sometimes a key number stamped on the end part which is circular and approx. 10mm in diameter.

Hth, (but your locksmith probably already knows this!)

Al, locksmith found key code and was able to cut a blank. works perfectly. Thank you for the helpful and accurate reply.
