Hi I have lurked on here for years but never posted. However have found many useful hints and tips especially about tyres. I have a pale blue 55 plate 4 *4 named Lil Bill which I have had from new. Bill has now done 106000 miles but I am wondering what kind of miles other drivers are getting out of their cars. I plan to keep mine till it can do no more it is such a great car. Bill Has been serviced religiously and anything needing doing has been done immediately. I had the cma belt changed at 60000 miles and as that is 5 years ago plan to have it done in December this year to hopefully get a few more years out of him
I had a new clutch last year and the propshaft seal replaced as it had cracked. Other than brakes obviously that's all the work I have had done.
Would be interested to hear of other people s mileage experience and what type of thing goes wrong as it gets higher

2006 - when FIAT had a decent colour chart. That was a great blue.

There's been a few high-mile cars - some 4x4s. The propshaft problem has only been recorded a few times so perhaps that's down to how/where it's driven.

Hello and welcome. Don't forget to post a pic or two of your car.

Mine is a May 05 Multijet called Dez and I've done just over 105K miles with him since new. So not far off yours.

I had a few troubles with him a couple of years ago (due to some poor workmanship from a local specialist) which ended up being rather costly so I'll be holding on to him for a long time to come.

So true. The original colours were definitely the best!

I got a branch caught in the propshaft in the Lakes last year. Pretty sure that's what caused the damage!

Hi and welcome!

I have a '05 4x4 which I've driven for about 18 months, ~32000 km. It has 152000 km on the clock so far and goes very well. Just about to replace the propshaft bearing that's on its last leg and look over/replace the differential seals while I'm at it. There's been some leakage there.

Previous owners have taken well care of it, so not much work for me yet. I agree, great little car this so I'll try to keep it for as long as I can! Once again, welcome!
