Hi

I have got 1999 Seicento 899cc and it came with 2 blue keys

One of the blue keys works fine but the other doesn't

I called a local Fiat dealer and he said it's £95 plus vat to program the second key ( not bad for an hours work ! )

Does anyone know of a cheaper way of doing it ?

Thanks

Andy

Hi

Tried those this afternoon but they say the key is locked and they couldn't copy it

Thanks

Andy

That depends....
1999? -i'm not sure if you have Code 1 or Code 2 keys
If they are Code 2 they will be marked C265 & need specialist knowledge & equipment so £95+vat for programming isn't a bad price -whichever type you have this guy might very well be cheaper https://www.fiatforum.com/members/ponsaloti/

IF it's only a case that the key is worn, buckled or cracked then there is a cheap alternative to getting a new key programmed....
Inside the key will be the transponder chip
VERY carefully cut this out of the rubber case & insert it into a new Seicento/Punto key shell (circa £1.50 off eBay) & get it cut at any key cutters.

Hi Ouby

It's a code 2 key I think as it has a 2 on the key

I will try that link you gave me

I have got a second key but it just won't start the car so I think the transponder needs re programming

Thanks for your advice you have been very helpful

Regards Andy
