Hello everybody,my name is Labros and I am glad that I finally found an active fiat forum.
The main reason I joined the forum is that I currently happened to own a fiat brava 1.2 2001 model and I would like some help.To be completely honest, at first I didn't like the car and had some issues,so I began to fixing/customizing the car according to my needs and slowly I started to like it.It is an honest car and I am thinking of keeping it so here I am.
I have two issues that I would like some help if anybody is willing to do so.

The first one is that my car doesn't have fog lights at the front bumper and given the fact that someone made a hit and run while it was parked, instead of fixing the bumper I want to get a new one with fog lights on.I would like to know if the marea bumper fits at the brava because I think that bravo, brava and marea have a lot in common.

Secondly since the blood in my veins is boiling I would appreciate any infos about engine tuning up but without making it up to a point that is going to have problems (e.g. turbo). Currently I have installed cat-back titanium exhaust and a K&N high air flow filter. The car behavior seems to have changed to a bit more aggressive than before but I still want to get more out of it.

Thank you very much and I am sorry if I ask too many questions as an introduction of myself post.

Hello Labros, Welcome to the Forum

The Marea front bumper and the Fiat Bravo HGT is different to all the other Fiat Bravos front bumpers. So the bumper will not fit perfectly unless you change the front wings aswell.

The Marea's and Bravo HGT have wider front wings and a different bumper. The easy way to understand what your looking at is by checking the front indicator on the wings.

Marea and Bravo HGT have indicators that are longer like this.

All other Bravos Have indicators that look like eggs like this.

With the 1.2 you could fit the 1.4 100hp engine in its place. it comes from cars like the Panda and Stilo. The air filter is a good move (y) I would recommend a good service to help improve performance if your service record is not great.

I think you can directly fit a throttle body from a 1.6 engine onto that 1.2 but you should research this. Maybe someone here can comment?? I think they do it on cinq's with the same 1.2 engine. If I find some evidence I will post it here.

This is the Bravo section here

Thank you very much for your reply.I am going to research the advice you gave me about the throttle body. The 1.4 engine swap is not an option to me due to my financials..
I am going to have a full service not because of the service history but because the car wasn't moving for a veeeeeery long time..The car belonged to my grandfather who passed away at January so I got it.He had bought it on 2001 and I got it with 36000Km so as you can imagine due to inactivity many parts needed replacement.

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with me.Looks like though that the exterior has to wait since I got involved with the engine upgrades.
Currently I am upgrading the exhaust manifold, the catalyst converter and the whole piping system with stainless steel handmade ones.
I am going to upload pictures how it looks like before/after the upgrades.

By the way are there any ideas about the ideal exhaust pipe diameter?
