Well now I'm getting excited, just had an update from my dealer this morning.
Turns out my 500 has been built, shipped to the docks and was on the ship on the way here......YAY. This update was at 10.15 this morning.......I can't wait.

So here's a question, how long does the ship take to get from Poland to the UK docks ??
Then what sort of wait time will I have ?

My dealer said that from normal "its built" to them taking delivery and having the car ready is normally 4 weeks, but as he said they are ahead of time. So he's not exactly sure as they've never had one ahead of schedule ! As he pointed out he can only go by Fiat's updates, which at the minute are playing catch up by the looks of it.

Either way I'm over the moon.

Well popped into the dealership on the way home from work and guess what !!!!!!!!!!!
The system is still showing as " on the ship" !!!!! What's it coming by rowing boat ????
Must be the slowest ship on the sea, I mean let's face it a passenger ferry can go from Newcastle upon Tyne to Amsterdam overnight.
The dealer I'm using has 5 pages worth of cars they are waiting for, must be a royal pain in the derriere for them especially with customers waiting.
Must admit though I can't complain about the dealer, my sales guy is always polite and more than happy to have a chat. He was even happy to show me round the facelift model they have in and have a chat about that, even asked about what I thought about it.
I even asked about the possibility of getting the glovebox from a facelift and fitting it to a pre-facelift, but as he pointed out they don't have the parts list from Fiat yet, so couldn't tell me until they get it.
In short my dealer is great, but the Fiat delivery system could do with better info so customers can get accurate delivery information. It could also do with speeding up a bit too lmao.

I went for the Twin Air 105HP S in electronica blue Jamie, and it won't be long now as I've heard it was delivered to the docks over the weekend.
Just got to wait for it to be transported up here to the North East now, been a 7 week wait so far.

Electronica blue is a great colour.

However, the name of the colour is awful. Who on earth translates "Azzurro Italia" to electronica blue?

Although biased i have to agree i have the same on mine looks great with the blue,(click on the picture for a better view)

Very nice indeed, I love that blue it looks lovely! Well I hope you don't have much longer too wait, it's probably near me as I'm down south near Southampton docks where it's probably come in? Anyways enjoy man, all the best.

AJ96 and rkt2003 I'm located between Tyne and Wear and Redcar, on the border of County Durham and Teeside near Sedgefield.
There's a possibility I could see either as I work in Stockton, but the Mrs has a love of IKEA ( at least it means I get meatballs for dinner). Also all of the Mrs family live in Sunderland so we are up that way frequently.
rkt2003 you might have seen the Mrs in her 14 plate down Redcar as she's working down there at the minute.

The wheels on mine aren't black they are more of a dark anthracite, I have seen one in the same colour and wheels and it does look fabulous but it was a 1.2 and didn't have the red calipers.
I've already got some mods here waiting to go on when I eventually take delivery.

I aint seen no chill out purples yet maybe she has seen mine ? i will keep an eye out ,oh and not long now for yours.

The chill out purple is stunning, it looks black from a distance but when the sun hits it a deep metallic purple shines through.

Yes a nice dark metallic that changes colour in the sun ,well your Electronica Blue also changes colour ,it`s deeper when overcast ,then a stunning Blue when the sun is out

I know I actually saw a 65 plate one this morning near Marton shops, it is definitely a colour that makes you look.
The other colour I really like is the electroclash grey, although I've seen more of them than the blue.

All of us in the North East should have a 500 get together, it would be interesting to see how many we could get together in one place.

Yes that was my 2nd choice electroclash grey looks good tinted with dark wheels

It certainly does, but the blue is definitely more of the head turner.
I'm still wondering if the window tints are actually dark enough, I've been used to privacy shades in the Jag which are pretty dark.

Depends on the light really but mine looks okay

I might invest in some privacy shades for mine depending on how I like the factory tints, and at least they can be used in the Mrs car too.
I notice you have wind deflectors too, that's another thing on my mod list that I haven't got yet. Just so many little things to do.

One thing I can't find is the stainless mesh grille like Zunsport does for the normal 500, which I think is a must to help protect the radiator and intercooler.

Well its been delivered to the dealership this morning, exactly 7 weeks and 1 day since ordering.
I've already seen it and took a few pictures, I was in the area when I got the phone call and couldn't resist. Only been delivered 20 minutes before I was there.
I pick up on Monday after work as they have to get it valeted and PDI checked, a reg number has already been assigned but the plates haven't been made yet.
Now how on earth am I meant to sleep before Monday !!!!!! LMAO.

Oh and there was a boo boo on the alloys, I've actually got the 16" black ones like AJ96 and rkt2003, not the anthracite ones I thought I was.......BONUS he he.
